As I continue to learn more about fascia and its connection to overall wellness, the more interested I become in it. This article is written for the understanding of the average person and I like it for that. I don’t necessarily agree with everything that is said, but as a whole I do. One thing is for sure, there is much learning and research still to be done in this area.
As someone who practices IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), I really agree with this statement from the article:
“As for those newfangled fascia tools? “They’re great, but only as great as the person using them,” said Myers. “A trained professional could use a spoon to get the same results.” In other words, do your research before engaging in fascial self-help. Better yet, see a professional who can show you movements and techniques that are specialized for your body.”
